Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between TK4100 and T5577?
TK4100 has a unique identification number, written at the factory, that cannot be changed. T5577 (like EM4305) can be programmed, so you can write the number your system requires.
Can I read a 125 kHz card with my phone?
No. Phones with NFC operate at 13.56 MHz. For cards that can also be read with a phone, see the HF contactless cards.
How do I know which card I need?
Look in the documentation of the reader: the frequency (125 kHz) and the format (usually EM4100) are listed there. If you are not sure, send us the reader model through the contact page.
Why would I choose a 125 kHz card with a magnetic stripe?
The combined variant can be used at the same time in a proximity system and in one with a magnetic reader, for example in a hotel with locks of different generations.
Where do I find all the access cards?
The 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz cards are grouped in the RFID access cards category.
