Custom hotel cards: key cards, RFID cards and energy-saver cards
For hotels and guesthouses we produce key cards with the artwork of your property: cards with a LoCo magnetic stripe, RFID cards at 13.56 MHz or 125 kHz, energy-saver cards for rooms and cards for towels or bathrobes at the spa. You choose the technology according to the lock system you have.
Options
- Key cards with LoCo magnetic stripe (300 Oe): CMYK colour print, monochrome (black, cyan or the magenta + yellow combination) or Pantone, on one or both sides.
- 13.56 MHz RFID cards with a Fudan 1K chip, compatible with MIFARE Classic® 1K. The product sheet lists them as compatible with Vingcard, Salto, Onity and Saflock. The chip can be encoded with Key A, Key B, access conditions or data in sectors.
- 125 kHz RFID cards with a TK4100 chip.
- Energy-saver cards, CMYK colour or monochrome, and cards for spa towels or bathrobes.
- Glossy or matte lamination and variable data unique on each card: barcode, serial number or QR code.
- Screen printing: pearlescent gold or silver, selective gloss or matte varnish.
- Blank cards with a chip or magnetic stripe, if you print the cards at reception.

How to order and how long it takes
Choose the model, quantity and options and upload your artwork on the product page (.pdf, .ai, .cdr, .eps, .svg or .psd). Cards with a LoCo stripe and energy-saver cards are ordered from 500 pieces, at 1.49 RON/pc. The price falls to 1.22 RON/pc for 1,000 pieces, to 0.54 RON/pc for 5,000 and reaches 0.25 RON/pc for 100,000 pieces. Printed RFID cards are ordered from 100 pieces, at 3.53 RON/pc, and reach 2.31 RON/pc for 500 pieces. Prices exclude VAT.
The estimated production time for LoCo cards is 2 working days for up to 4,000 pieces and 2–3 days for 5,000–15,000. For RFID cards it is 2 working days for up to 500 pieces and 2–3 days for 1,000–3,000. The exact lead time appears on the product page. Shipping is free in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. Frequently asked questions
Which type of key card do I need?
It depends on the locks. Locks with a slot usually use a card with a magnetic stripe, while contactless locks use RFID cards at 13.56 MHz or 125 kHz. Check the model of the lock or of the encoder at reception before ordering.
Who encodes the cards for the rooms?
Normally, the key card is encoded at reception, with the encoder of the lock system, at every check-in. That is why what matters most is that the card technology is the one required by the system.
Why LoCo and not HiCo for a hotel?
The LoCo stripe is easily rewritten by the encoder at reception for each guest and costs less. For cards that must last a long time, for example loyalty cards, see the HiCo stripe cards.
What is an energy-saver card?
It is the card inserted into the holder next to the door that switches on the power in the room. It can carry the hotel logo, just like a key card.
Can I print the cards at reception?
Yes, with a card printer. Blank cards with a chip or magnetic stripe are in the Blank cards category.
